	No Ann he banned Christmas :-0 :-0 :-0 Strictly speaking I don’t think he banned Christmas but banned any celebrations on a Wednesday and Christmas fell on a Wednesday that year. If that isn’t correct I’m sure someone will correct me ;-) ;-) ;-)

	Afternoon all. <3 :-D Ann, if you can get hold of a book entitled 'The Year They Stopped Christmas', (by Harriet Graham) it will give your two grandchildren an idea of what it was like in 1655 under the Puritans. It's a lovely story for children. The copy I have was printed in 1977 by Antelope Books, so way back. My two loved it, especially my daughter. It's a sliver of history with a happy ending!
