That is a true love story.

It was so sad. Their mother having to give up her children because of 'attitudes'.

Quality stuff highlighting, if highlighting is needed, the rough & tumble of everyday human life.

Memorable episode.

I watched it and cried too. You are right Tess - both daughters were so alike it was spooky.

Can't wait for tonight's episode. There hasn't been too much good TV on lately. Holby is back tonight too.

Typically, part 2 is on at the same time as 'A House Through Time'.

No new or decent TV for weeks - then they put 2 decent programmes on at the same time :-(
I shall be watching it on +1

Watched tonight's episode and enjoyed it.
So sad for all these abandoned children.
I hope more of them find their families (and that the families are pleased to be found.

I hadn't realised that so many children were abandoned in the 1960's Some of the mothers will have "reclaimed" their babies too.

Things have changed so much since that time, with birth control, abortion and acceptance of unwed parents.

I watched both programmes and found it incredibly sad that the parents were all in long term relationships.
