Hylton Castle in Sunderland, Maddie?

Edit: just asked my son-in-law who told me Bunny Hill is just up from his grandmother's house. I think he may have asked his mum because he had not heard of Bunny Fields when I first texted him. She must have also said that she knew it as Bunny Hill not bunny fields.

Afternoon Ann :-D <3

Yes, Joy, that is right, just outside Sunderland. The family have lived in that area since the 1850's, so maybe it has been corrupted one way or the other over the years. Nevertheless, we are talking about the same place. :-D :-D :-D

Well, bless my soul, Maddie.

I don't know Sunderland well at all but even I know where you mean and I've only been to his Gran's house once, many many years ago.

Talking of derivations of name Joy. There is a 'green space' in north London, run by the City of London Corporation. Parliament Hill Fields. Supposedly Guy Fawkes sat at the top of the hill to see the Houses of Parliament blow up.

Now, some people call it Parliament Hill. Some Kite Hill, cos it is great for flying kites. Tourists call it Hampstead Heath. :-D :-D :-D

I have visited Hampstead Heath, Maddie, and had coffee in the cafe there one morning with my young sis when she lived in walking distance of the Heath. That was about 17 years ago before she moved to Crouch End.

I always enjoyed my visits to her and her favourite haunts.
