So he can access by the front door and J is nowhere near...or better still if the day is fair..put J in the garden....especially if you are going to fumigate with bleach afterwards

The thing is as I told the guy on the phone ... why should we have to stay in for the duration, already 8 weeks to "Stay Safe and protect the NHS" but then be forced to have men working in our house putting us at risk:-| :-| :-|

But OH is going to phone them on Monday.
Daughter has already had this issue and has sent them a strongly worded email about suing them if anyone becomes ill or dies :-D :-D :-D

That's it exactly Ann.

The boiler was only fixed a few weeks ago. Like I said to the contractor - we have more chance in catching the virus than the boiler killing us. We have fire and Carbon Monoxide alarms too

If it's a gas boiler it's a killer if not checked - dammed if they do or don't

When they installed it about 10 years ago, the following day the Contractor firm turned up for the annual service. (There'd been a back boiler on the fire for the central heating until then)They said it didn't matter that it had been installed the day before.
Just as well he did, the outflow pipe in the loft was not secured properly.

Next door neighbours was put in badly and they had carbon monoxide fumes. They were ill
