I thought Mike looked so much more fitter than when he started, so he had been putting in the training. I didn't think his Paso was that bad much better than some of his previous dances but this is when the going gets tough :-0 :-D

Sadly, he had to go :-( :-)

AnninGlos Report 11 Nov 2019 16:32

Yes I thought his Paso was okish, he said he has lost one and a half stone so it has obviously been good for him.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 15 Nov 2019 21:23

I thought that Mike did the dance off far better than the first time round. Possibly his best dance of the series. however, once Michelle was also names as in the dance-off, Mike stood no chance of going through.

Although i was disappointed to see Michelle in the Dance off, it wasn't a tremendous surprise. She was near the top of the leader board, so didn't warrant
a sympathy vote. As far as I know she doesn't have a large fan base here in the UK, so won't automatically get votes from a lot of people.

I would love to see her in the semi-final, if not the final, as she is so good to watch. I know that she seems a little loud and driven, but that all seems to help her to conquer each dance style as it comes.
Hopefully she isn't in the dance off again tomorrow. At risk possibly because of the style of dance she is doing (Couples Choice. Vogue) which may not have typical dance steps for the judge to mark well.

Just hope that all the couples are able to give of their best this week and are not put off their stride by the bouncy floor.

All being well I will be watching it on tv live.

It must be difficult for them, different floor, different space. Hope they all enjoy the experience. I can actually say I have danced on that dance floor although unfortunately only in trainers and jeans. Quite an experience.

What a stunning programme tonight.
Difficult to choose who will go this time :-D :-D :-D

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 16 Nov 2019 22:20

It was good Von. I think that Michelle is in danger again. Not sure who else, but I have voted for Alex and Neil as I think that they were under marked in comparison with Chris with Kabren and Emma with Anton.

Will be sorry to see anyone go this week, but somebody has to :-( :-(

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 16 Nov 2019 23:05

I agree, Von & Tess.....the standard was very high :-0

Having the celebs dance with a group of dancers made it more entertaining too :-D

Didn't see Michelle or Saffron dance but of those that I did I liked Emma & Alex.

Thought Emma was very graceful but then I love that kind of dance.

Alex's dance was so powerful as a Paso should be but it was different too which, to me, made it that much more enjoyable-D :-D

Chris' dance was very entertaining but was it really a Salsa...I thought it was a take on his Street Dance :-0

Well that was a blockbuster of a night.

Loved Anton and Emma, made me quite emotional. Anton still cant believe his luck, and his first 10 since the show started...…...ever!

Did like Alex and Karim too.

I think it may be Saffron and Michelle in the dance off.

Saw Mike in the audience, but no one pointed him out.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Nov 2019 09:32

Think Michelle will be in the dance off, I didn't like her dance much personally, not sure who else, maybe Saffron. But excellent show very entertaining.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 18 Nov 2019 06:48

Although I was sad to see Michelle go, I think it was the right decision :-0

When the cards are down you can't beat an old fashioned quick step :-D

I agree with AnnG, Vogue didn't do it for me either :-(. Perhaps earlier in the series it might have deemed to be innovative but now they are getting to the nitty gritty end I think they have to stick with the traditional dances :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 18 Nov 2019 08:29

I think we all had an inkling Michelle would go. I do appreciate the sentiment behind Vogue, but I wonder if it was the right dance Blackpool.

And so we plough on to next week, when it all starts again in Elstree. I wonder if it will be Saffron next week, as the others have all upped their game?

Still delighted that Emma and Anton are in it. :-D

Annx Report 19 Nov 2019 16:29

The trouble with Vogue was that it was all arms and walking.....no apparent tricky footwork to impress the judges with......I see Tess said much the same.

It's nice to see Anton still there and some 10s for him at last! Karim's posture blows me away and such stamina.

The standard now is so high it's getting harder to seperate them. It's when the choreography can make all the difference.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 20 Nov 2019 01:20

Confession time!

When Motsi was commenting on Karim and Amy's dance, I thought that she said " I want to give you more than 10! I want to give you my herpes......" I was that shocked that I didn't take in the rest of her comment, just thought that she had used the wrong word, and waited for someone else to comment.

Now I know the truth, she said , I want to give you more than 10, I want to give you my hair piece, my clothes...."

Thank goodness I didn't make a fool of myself and tell anyone.

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget

TessAkaBridgetTheFidget Report 22 Nov 2019 21:46

I hope that this week Karim and Amy have some slower movements in their couples Choice dance. Otherwise I reckon they may have lower marks from the judges. We need to see Karim's sensitive side> It would be great if his dance could be as moving as Will's

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 24 Nov 2019 16:44

Only saw three of the dances last night :-(

The standard is high now :-0

Of those three dances I thought Saffron should be in the dance off :-0

We will see, what we will see :-D

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 25 Nov 2019 10:32

Well, that was a one sided dance off :-0

Alex looked shocked :-0 :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 25 Nov 2019 12:44

Just caught up with the prog on iPlayer. I must have been watching a different prog, cos the ones I thought was not so good, the judges loved! :-D

Putting me Mystic Meg hat on, I thought Saffron would go this week, and I predict an all male finale. Cos the boys can do no wrong. I still think the girls are being marked down, but as I always say, what do I know? ;-) ;-)

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 25 Nov 2019 13:19

When I heard Northern Soul on Saturday I looked
up and watched.
My son taught me how to do that when he was a teenager
loved it and still do.
Last night I thought how rude the crowd were when Andrea Bocelli was singing.
Did not need to see the dancers in my opinion.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 25 Nov 2019 16:17

It was obvious Saffron would go once it was her and Karim in the dance off. We were expecting it to be Saffron and Alex (as did Alex obviously) But I think the public kept her in because Craig gave her a 4. Also the public are always anything that is obviously emotion laid on thick which is what Karim did with his Mum and sisters. I didn't like Saffron's Rumba anyway.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 1 Dec 2019 09:28

I didn't see Karim"s dance but if he got four 10s I guess it must have been perfect :-0

Well, I think it should be Chris & Alex in the dance off.....both dances were entertaining but had very little of the dance they were suppose to be doing :-0

Chris is far better when he doesn't have to hold his partner but I suppose the same applies to Alex to a certain extent :-D

I suppose it will be down to who the public like the most.....of course, it could one of the better dancers with Chris or Alex like last week.....then The Judges don't really have to make a decision :-0 :-D
