Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 26 Nov 2013 07:17

Poor you Sharron, it never rains but what it pours on you if you will excuse the pun considering a water leak was the problem.

I am very sorry to learn of the loss of your father-in-law and hope you can manage to keep Fred chirpy again while supporting your husband in his grief. He must be so sad he wasn't able to be contacted at the time his Dad was dying, it happened to me when my Mother collapsed - before the time of me having a mobile phone and no one but Mum knew where I was that morning.

I hope things will get easier soon and you can stay strong for the others - later you can let yourself breathe again and take some time for yourself, meantime sounds as tho you will be the one holding everyone up.

Take care

Lizx

Sharron Report 25 Nov 2013 22:13

Oh dear. I really wasn't wanting to make it look like my life is full of misery. I am just picturing the big foot coming down like the Monty Python cartoon.

I've dealt with worse,as have most people but life is a bit of a piggy's bottom at the moment.

It is not such a huge loss to me really. I don't have a good relationship with OH's mother and walked away from it very early on. Couldn't be bothered. I did like what I knew of his dad though.

Have never done anything to keep OH away from his family but I just don't get involved. I did, however, have quite a long talk with his mother on the phone last evening and offered my help should it be required. Might not take any of her old buck but I won't see anybody down if I can help it.

OH, of course, is devastated. The real job is supporting him in his grief.

Thank you for all the sympathy everybody.

So sorry to hear of your father in laws death.
I do hope things start to go right for you now.
And you never whinge. I always look at your threads because You make me smile, usually with the things Fred gets up to. And I can only imagine how hard it must be for you at times. You have a great sense of humour. Make sure you keep that and you will get through anything. xx
