Hi Gwen

You are a great girl . we met on several occasions at London Meets.

You are who you are now and what has happened has made you the girl you are.

Sorry if you lost a friend but would venture to say thats their loss.

Dont look back on whats happened, celebrate what a brave and determined girl you are to be here now .

Because you were rushed to hospital a year ago is water under the bridge

Sending you loads of healing vibes and hopefully some uplifting vibes too

You are here girl against all odds so dont let things get you down

You have had the most appalling year, Diz. I hope a lot of us have tried to empathise. Life support, car crashes, legs like Geoff Capes. And lovely threads of support to will you to get better and be able to do more and more.

You have given a lot of us a lot, though. Your personality shines through all the clouds. And please don't stop telling us what you are feeling. Good to take our eyes off our navals and keyboards occasionally, and try and understand your difficulties.

:-D :-D

Dizzi you have had a really bad year but just because you went into hospital a year ago doesn't mean you will repeat it this year. Think positively and you will still be at home this time next week.

It is a shame somebody was not caring enough to continue friends with you, knowing how poorly you have been they could have been kind and made allowances for your moods. But we on here are all your friends and we love you <3 <3 <3 (((((hugs)))))

Keep your positive thoughts Dizzi. You have come so far, just look forward now. Losing a friend is not a nice thing to happen, but you have so many on here who really care for you. Take care.

Dizzi you have had a bad year and have turned the corner. Think to yourself if I lost my 'friend' because of 'my moods' just how genuine was that friend. Friends stick by each other through thick, thin and bl***y thin <3

Come on Dizzi - have never known a 'bad year' repeat itself.

I know how you feel - but now and then I have the grumps and OH reminds me that the alternative would be worse!!!

2009 I was rushed to hospital early June and came home in time for Christmas - 9 weeks in ICU, so I do understand.

I think at times I am getting nowhere and then I think back and realise I have made progress.

If you think Gwen what state you were in 12 mths ago and what you have come through since - you have survived that. As you will survive the next two days and the next week and Christmas and the New Year etc.

We are here for you - she was not a real friend - so as someone else said - you are better off without her.

mail me by all means and grump off to me and with me!! <3 <3 <3

Hi Gwen

Please try to look past the next few days and don't even think that you might end up back in hospital, lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place so just concentrate on getting as much as you can from each day and celebrate how far you have come and how many friends you still have, don't think about those who have fallen at a hurdle.

Take care and treat yourself to all you need to make life easier and happier

Love and hugs

Lizxx

Will put up a thread later if I find time which might make you laugh!

Dizzy. Is it possible for you to have the pneumonia jab. I had it done last year and it lasts a lifetime.
That was no real friend you lost.

Take care <3

Its quite normal to have these feelings after a traumatic event - GP's liken it to mourning a loved one. The first year is always the worst as far as emotions are concerned. <3

((((hugs)))) Dizzi , look after yourself, keep away from fluey people, eat as well as you can, do things you enjoy ( watch lots of comedies!) all will boost your immune system. Keep your mind as busy as you can so you have less time for worrying ( says the all time greatest worryguts!).

Hope this Christmas will be a million times better for you than last!

Dizzi - could you have an allergy to something? Or just a pure rotten cold?
It s not easy to be cherrful when you are feeling rotten. Take care. <3

Sylvia

Sylvia Report 20 Nov 2013 16:22

Dizzi, you will have a cold so look after yourself keep warm, eat well and take your vitamins.
You have done the best thing in protecting yourself by having the flu jab and the pneumonia jab.
I had pneumonia years ago and never want that again, so had the jab.
Look forward now and not back to last year which was terrible for you.
