today is the eleventh anniversary of the death of my lovely husband - no sympathy required here by the way - not necessary

today is the day in 1966 from which I calculated the birth of my son

today is the day in 1966 of the Aberfan disaster

Several things to remember Ann. But, no doubt you will be remembering the wonderful times you had with your husband, his singing in the choir etc. And Aberfan will be mixed up in your memories with the knowledge of your pregnancy. Memories are wonderful things aren't they. I always feel so sorry for those who lose theirs.

memories are so precious, and I have lots of lovely ones to dwell on - I think of him every day -"What would he think of this" "He would love the present Wales Rugby team" etc.

A day that will always be so important for you. A man who meant a lot to a lot of people. I am always thrilled to meet any member of the Pendyrus Choir on my rounds. They seem such a wonderful group of men :-)

Hi Ann,

I am glad you did not feel really sad yesterday despite the meaning of the date for you. You were very lucky to have such a lovely husband who shared his gift of his singing voice with so many people and gave you wonderful years of memories to recall. I am sure he was with you as you thought of the things that happened on 21st October.
