Can imagine him as a cross between Ted Bovis and Barry when he was in holiday camps. Who were you most like, Liz?

yes that's how it appeared to me and sad to use children in that way.Wonder if the mother is still around as no mention of her.

Sorry, folks. I kept getting this blessed error message again. Driving me mad today.

When normal service eventually resumed, I guessed there would be millions of posts as I had kept backspacing and trying to post again and again. Forgotten that eventually all the messages are sent.

Now spent a few minutes deleting them all. Agree that it wasn't the funniest comment ever made, but at least my hiccups amused :-) ;-)

John - Funny you should mention Ted Bovis and Barry. The Hi De Hi programmes were actually filmed in the holiday camp in Dovercourt, where Pat and I worked (as well as many other people). Was Warners Holiday camp. No longer there, new houses etc there. Shame really.
And as for me - Peggy seems apt at times LOL
