And about time too. History records the slowness of 'Royal Pardons'.

hmmmm

I understand that Sarah & Andrew have lived in the same house for years.

It's a BIG house, they might be in separate wings.

;-)

That is good news. Her two daughters are very popular with the public, I believe. And so is Sarah, despite her faux pas. We see lack of fashion judgment, clumsiness. But also a lot of natural charm and love. And what a fighter - not many royals have had such a "real" life as she has experienced. :-)

Edit. Is Duchessof Windsor back in the fold yet, Dermot? ;-)

It is about time too,I really believe they have stayed together regardless of what the Queen and Prince Philip say. :-D

Good on them I say ,be happy ,you are a long time dead ;-)

Suex :-D

Her daughters popular with the public.... Not round here

She is an embarassment.

The only place where she is truly popular is the US, where anyone with even the smallest connection to our Royalty is lauded.

Speculation is she is there to discuss the engagement of Beatrice to long term boyfriend.

I truly doubt it's an open armed welcome.

I should think supercrutch has put a likely reason for this meeting. Protocol is so important to the Palace as we remember from funeral of Diana.

Diana was divorced and therefore outside the royal fold at the time of her death, and the Queen was caught up between
1. her shock at the passing of someone who could have been the next Queen if she had stayed with Charles and agreed to a loveless and ceremonial marriage.
2. Her need to follow royal protocol as laid down in constitution of The Firm. (Palace Ltd)

Now we have at least several royal occasions to look forward to:
1. Marriages of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, who are apparently great favourites of the Queen.
2. Funeral of Prince Andrew, which may be years away but who knows.
3. Funerals of Queen herself and Prince Philip (probably within next few years)
4. Coronation of King Charles III

Will she be allowed to join Prince Andrew for the weddings and in what capacity?
Will she be allowed to attend the funerals and coronation? Again, in which capacity.

So may be a few things to discuss.

He may not be King Charles:

‘Patrick Cracroft-Brennan, a genealogist from Cracroft’s Peerage, said: “There has been a tradition over the last century for the regnal title to be different to the christian name. The change would make sense.

“Monarchs called Charles have not had much luck. One was beheaded, one was in exile, and one was a pretender to the throne”.’

The favoured Regnal name was George!

He will always be a Charlie, Sue. Whatever the label on the outside :-)

So could Camilla be called Queen Elizabeth or Queen Mary, I wonder :-)

I shall NOT comment on Camilla, nor will a few other GR members..lolol

I couldn't care less if she's back in the fold or not - we'll never know for sure anyway

Happy families. It's good to have mighty dreams.

I understood that Andrew let Sarah live in his home as she would otherwise be homeless. She has had very large debts to pay off but has managed because of her connection to the Royals to be able to pay off her debts (I think) . Cup Cakes why should you say "About time too" she is divorced from Andrew so not got any reason to be part of the family apart from the girls so don't think she will be welcomed back on a permanent basis...I certainly wouldn't have my son's ex back in the fold but have had her in the house a couple of times for different reasons.

We are not Royals with huge house - should be Andrew who dictates terms not his mother. Some of the Royal decisions are publically embarrassing for the individuals concerned
I think they are together privately not just for the sake of the girls.
They are gorgeous and need their mum around if they are not going off into la la land.

Alas Cup Cakes as you say we are not Royals (thank goodness). .... but being Royal means a whole lot more than being like Joe Soap They have a position to uphold hence the Queen's involvement

JustJohn

Neither Andy or Fergie seem to be that keen on marrying anyone else, so not the problem that would have been caused if Diana had married Dodi Fayed and his dad had been invited to every shooting party up in Balmoral.

I just think it looks odd at these official does to see Andrew at front, girls close to Andy - yet Fergie is in the toilet 200 yards away. They gravitate together as a fairly comfortable and amicable family as soon as they are away from pomp and ceremony.

Apart from the embarrassing 'toe sucking' photos there was this of course......

Meanwhile Prince Andrew was today preparing to hold crisis talks with the Queen after his ex-wife was exposed offering access to him for £500,000.
The duchess, said to be 'devastated and regretful' at being secretly filmed by an undercover reporter posing as a businessman, looked pale and tearful as she arrived at Los Angeles airport.

I believe she is still a liability.

Please explain why about time ? , Personally I don´t give a sh*t, but lets be fair she hasn´t done her daughters well has she with her antics ! So why should she be accepted back into the fold ?
