It's driving me mad today.

I know RtR said the other day about changing browsers but I don't think I could stand that either! Will just have to get a new computer at some point, I guess. Sigh . . *

"The page you were trying to load has experienced an error. This error has been logged and will be investigated.

"If you hit the back button on your browser, it will return you to the page you were on, and you may like to try the action again. If you repeatedly experience the same error, please contact Support via the Contact Us menu under Help.

"If you were following a link from your favourites, an email or from another site, the link may have changed. We recommend returning to the home page of the Genes Reunited site, and following the existing menu options to navigate to the same content.

"To return to the home page, click on the Genes Reunited logo."

*(PS - unless it's the GR site that is rubbish, of course?)

Thanks, RRose. ;-)

I did wonder, because I don't get crashes with any other websites.

That error message has been happening far too often. It's the site not my browser as I've switched between IE, Firefox and Chrome -all the same.

Sometimes accessing the site via .za or .nz has worked but not recently (for me, anyhow).

I couldn't even get on to .co.uk from my Bookmarks at about 7 pm UK time

I DID get on to .co.za immediately

Then about 15 or minutes later, I started getting the Error message on .co.za when trying to open a Board

So I tried .co.uk, and got in immediately ................. until I started getting the Error message

It SEEMS to be working reasonably well at the moment .................... about 4 am in the morning UK time :-D

It's not my browser either!

I had a problem earlier........ EM moving from thread to thread, EM when I posted (resulting in multiple posts).

I tried getting here a few minutes ago.......... EIGHT Error Messages, before I got in!

Somebody is messing again.

:-(

They log the Error Messages? Don't make me laugh :-0

Most likely culprit is GR, and the volume of people using the site.

I notice that although people experience problems with the site most of the time. It gets worse during any school holidays.

And it happens not only on here...... ;-)

So fed up with getting error this morning. Took advice and changed "uk" to "za" in address and - hey presto - I can read and write :-D :-D

Where is the world am I? Where is za? Don't expect any uk answers ;-)

SueCar

SueCar Report 13 Aug 2013 13:17

ZA = Zuid Afrika ;-)

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 13 Aug 2013 22:24

Thanks Sue. Once again, could not access site via uk. So changed to za and same thing. So now coming from nz. Want to rub noses?

Are there any other areas I can read threads without error messages?
