	He's in town. Well he will be this afternoon. Having had the obligatory sausage sandwich and the fish and chips yesterday, my answer to Michael Winner (the only gourmet I could think of off hand) will be partaking of something from the Wetherspoons range today. His eye appointment is at 2.50 so you should line North Street about that time to see him. He can't wave because only one hand works and that is driving his wheelchair but feel free to throw money, ony the paper type though!

	He went to the opticians but they said the problem with his eyes was that he has had them too long,he is suffering from ninety-three! Stronger glasses would not make a lot of difference and the other cataract is nowhere near ready. There is, however, some kind of special clinic for failing old eyes where they can prescribe appropriate equipment like magnifying glasses. He wants to go because he will get something free! The optician has to write to the doctor so we now await further development.

	Believe it or not, I still have that song on a tape of 60s hits. Sharron, you´re giving your age away by quoting it, you too Liz, but it was one of my favourites too. We baby boomers had wonderful taste in music.
