John I'd be happy to tell Dan how I behaved at parties when I was 18 lol :-) They weren't wild ones as I recall, more family orientated 21sts and I didn't drink much then either :-)

Hope he's OK this morning, Rose.

B has only been very drunk once in his life - when he was 18. 'twas 1997 and he and some friends gathered to watch the results of the General Election and had a swig every time a Tory lost his seat. They finished the bottle when Portillo went and he ordered a taxi.

We were up watching it as well and his attempts to appear sober still amuse us to this day. Bucket by the bed and we held the room still for him while he climbed into bed.

Such a bad hangover that he's never been drunk since!

Good, he obviously sobered up a bit as he chatted, hope he's slept well and will feel ok today, but not too much to encourage drinking lol Maybe just a little under the weather to discourage him.

he's just telling me all about it Liz lol, so has stopped slurring now :-)

Leave the light on so Dan can find the loo then Rose, lol - all that water as well as the alcohol could mean he will be back and forth all night!

Glad he is a merry drunk and not a nasty one, my son is the same fortunately. I expect you will have more of the same as he gets older and goes out even more!

I've got youngest and her husband staying tomorrow night - they're going to a wedding, then on to son in law's parent's 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday.
THEN elder daughter is staying Sunday night - it's her birthday and she's going out.
I've got work on Monday, and an awful lot of junk moving and housework tomorrow :-(

My daughter, when still at home used to swear by both for herself ( and me, if I had had a good night!) the next morning.

Two paracetamol, for the headache.

A banana, For the potassium.

A glass off Coke, fizz for settling an upset tummy and sugar.

A bag of plain crisps, For replacing lost salt.

A slice of toast, Can't remember why.

Glad your boy enjoyed himself Rose, hope he needs none of the above in the morning.

Have just come back from the pub and after two and a half pints might need some myself when I finally surface. Night all. M

Reminds me of being a national serviceman in Germany,

could always tell if the guys had had a Good night out by how high they were in bed................sitting almost upright was good night out

else if you laid flat the room(your head) would be going around and around!!

He needs to have another drink RR ......... pour him a pint.............. of water before he goes to bed !
