I found it fascinating as I could watch it on the monitor, then thought it was all over but no they had to get a longer scope, bit like exploring a cave.

eRRol shouldn't have much of a problem, see little marbles out in the paddocks here, he could do pick and mix.

I got my kit through the post on the week of my 55th birthday!

:-D :-D :-D Persie

A few years ago I had both an endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time.

I'm still not sure whether they used one tube or two :-|

It's a good job that they knocked me out :-0

Persephone

Persephone Report 19 Jul 2013 00:09

Yeah I had the real doozie... they didn't want me to correspond. though himself has done that as well.

In our Otago paper a while back it stated

Dunedin Hospital will be doing colonoscopies on Saturdays to clear the backlog.

:-D :-D :-D

Wend,
It sounds as though you are all talking about the very simple test, whereas Persie may be describing the preparation for a colonoscopy. Big difference.

Why not just buy bacon and save on all the other items?

Not only over-complicated but also wasteful

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 18 Jul 2013 23:37

Isn't anything possible in America?

However, if you want lamb flavoured bacon, buy lamb.
If you want bacon flavoured lamb, buy bacon.

Don't Americans just over-complicate!

Allan

Allan Report 18 Jul 2013 23:24

Just been looking at another thread.

I wonder if the Americans eat bacon flavoured lamb, and is it possible to purchase lamb flavoured bacon?

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 18 Jul 2013 23:18

Yeah - the negatives prove it

Disgusting!

Allan

Allan Report 18 Jul 2013 23:14

They do things differently in NZ, Wend :-D :-D

Wend Report 18 Jul 2013 23:02

Every 2 years in the UK I believe.

Worried about Persie's expression *drank the gunk* :-0 :-0 :-0

Allan

Allan Report 18 Jul 2013 22:58

No, hang on to them for the moment

My OH still has her suspicions :-0

PS I did so like the fourth negative: a very good likeness, and so natural

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 18 Jul 2013 22:52

They've never complained before.

By the way - do you still want me to post the negatives back to you?

Allan

Allan Report 18 Jul 2013 22:50

At your convenience , Errol...so long as it's not a public one

People may get the wrong idea if I'm seen entering a toilet block with a sheep :-D :-D

I have been to Manchester.

Allan we need to have a little word.

Allan

Allan Report 18 Jul 2013 22:40

Takes me back to my childhood in Manchester, my Lady, when we would wander the back entries around the neighbour hood and poke sticks into dog droppings :-)

Just before bonfire night was best though, as you could stick bangers in them, hide behind a wall until the explosion, and then go and see how far the resultant mess had carried...a veritable shower of sh*t :-D :-D

LadyScozz Report 18 Jul 2013 11:50

We both did the test last year, and OH isn't 60 yet.

Nothing intrusive.........you do your bit .......(instructions supplied) at home and poke at it with a little stick thing, put the stick in a container, and post it.

Is this what they mean by sh!t mail?

:-D

I expect in a few years we'll have to go through the intrusive one. :-(

It seems to be every two years here, lovely but necessary

Persephone

Persephone Report 18 Jul 2013 10:57

Himself reckons on every five years Sue.

Think he has done it three or four times now.. probably has a professional's badge. He certainly adopted a tutor's attitude and then was surprised when I drank the gunk better than he did. :-S

I so enjoyed going for lunch afterwards. :-) :-) :-)

Germany's standard dictionary has included a vulgar English term, used by Chancellor Angela Merkel among others, as an acceptable German word.

Duden, the equivalent of the Oxford English Dictionary in the UK, said it was reflecting the common use of the word "shitstorm" among Germans.

The word, which is used in German to denote a public outcry, seems to have caught on during the eurozone crisis.
