Weather is warm & muggy....No rain, but quite thundery! We had a doozy of a thunderstorm late last night...sheet lightening lit up the skies! Mother Nature's firework display! 	Thank you all!! It is a beautiful, sunny hot day here .................... my daughter in Nova Scotia said it had poured with rain all weekend, until about 2 or 3 pm today A/C ....... we didn't come to Canada until 1968, so we missed the 100th celebrations! Carole ...................... here in BC, heat is also humid. Unlike your usually dry heat in Australia. So it seems like at least 10C hotter. Many parts of Canada do have dry heat, but not us, and not usually Toronto, or the East Coast! Yesterday it was 27/28C in Vancouver, but the weather person said it was effective 33/34C

	Happy Canada day to our Canadian friends and family. Every year this day is marked by a memorial service at Shorncliffe cemetery, Folkestone, Kent to honour the lives of many Canadians buried there after fighting for their country in World War 1. Local primary school children lay posies of flowers for these men who fought, died and rest so far from their homeland. I have not long returned from there, although I wasn't at the service, but found it quite moving to see the little bunches of different flowers placed with care. They are not forgotten. Gwyn

	Best wishes to all Canadians on this Canada Day, did it not used to be called Dominion Day. I can remember going to a party in Trafalgar Square in London with some Canadian friends - not sure if they still celebrate it in Trafalgar Square.
	Researching: I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"

We have a shop in Oxford called BOSWELLS that is celebrating it's opening today 275 years ago....Still going strong....Couldn't believe it was older than USA...WOW!!!! Some party that should be....Sadly I haven't been invited.......LES...
