TS but you had your roses out in May so they need a rest now. Had to come in for a rest, did three quarters of an hour weeding but it is so hot out there when weeding! got side tracked in the hosta bed and among the grasses in pots, got told off for lifting a pot!!! :-D Trouble is, the garden bin is now full and it is another week before it is emptied so I see a trip to the dump coming up.

Rose, no intentions other than starting a thread in which everyone can join and if I put the gardening thread up it doesn't attract people :-( :-D Good that the 99p one has a bud, even if it only lasts a year it was still a bargain. What colour are your roses? We already have two patio roses, one a very prolific pale pink, the other a pale apricot, not so prolific. The two we have just bought are another pink, slightly different to the other and a deep orange, both have a scent.

We don't seem to be able to grow bush roses in the garden although we have climbers and ramblers everywhere.

Rose, am I one of your friends on facebook? I don't see you post on there so maybe not. I must take a photo of the garden and put it on my photo blog.

lol Ann. I don't know if it was your intent to put on a nice thread to stop me getting waspish.on another ;-) .but anyway ..re roses the two my friend bought me at Christmas both have tiny buds on now so I am chuffed, and a tiny patio rose I bought in the 99p shop which spent weeks under the snow has a bud on it also :-)

The garden is full of bees in the foxgloves, I have put some pictures of those on the aquilegia album on FB :-)

But my goodness it is very windy, all the rose petals are covering the lawn like so much confetti. Still it is warm and dry and we are used to the wind as at times it was 30-40 in Lanzarote over the weekend before last. The advantage of that is watching the windsurfers battling the huge waves, very invigorating. Sooo back to the garden, just been to the garden centre and got two patio roses for the price of one with our members card, very pretty they are too so off to sort them out now. :-) :-)
