I am sure she will Barney - even stronger.

Let's see how Murray fares now.

Bad luck Laura, just lost in the fourth round.

Come back next year and do even better.

She played an excellent game and will be disappointed but I am sure we will see a lot more of this young lady in the future, her career is definitely one to keep an eye on - well done Laura.

Another great game. Fighting play.
Methinks we shall see an awful more of Ms Robson.

You missed a cracking comeback Shiela. Never stop watching, in tennis you never know.

I was pleasantly gob-smacked when I heard that Laura had won. I'd seen a snippet of the match when she just lost the first set, must admit I assumed she would lose. Now I wish I'd watched the rest :-D :-D. Very well done, a great player with all the right qualities.

You must be joking !
Andy Murray play against Laura Robson in a singles match.
Andy is the Men's No. 2 seed. Laura is the Women's No 38.
What do you want to do? Embarrass her?

That is the most ridiculous suggestion I have heard. What do others think?

I am an Andy Murray fan but that does not stop me giving credit where credit s due, so congratulations to 19-year-old Laura Robson on her win over Marina Erakovic which has got her into the fourth round of the championships.

I would love to see Laura Robson and Andy Murray play against each other.

The sort of fighting player that we haven't produced for a very long time.

I think to hold her nerve and do the job is wonderful :-)

Can't see who you would upset by your thread, good
luck to her :-)

Emma :-)

She's fantastic isn't she Barney, and seems like such a nice girl. let's hope she stays in for good while. :-D

BarneyKent

BarneyKent Report 29 Jun 2013 17:40

True. I did not want to upset anyone, I just think she is the best female player we have had for years.

Barney - so many players would have crumbled under that sort of pressure but it just goes to show what can be done.

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 29 Jun 2013 17:35

You've done that now Barney :-D

BarneyKent

BarneyKent Report 29 Jun 2013 17:34

Sorry I did not know that she had been congratted on the other thread.

But surely she warrants a page of her own, first time for over 15 years that a British girl has made the fourth round.

She has far more character too and at least she showed emotion when she won.

'Emma' Report 29 Jun 2013 17:27

She has been congratulated on I think it's Lynda's thread

You have posted it though Barney :-D and I have mentioned on the Wimbledon thread too :-D

It seems that there is only one Brit playing at Wimbledon and its not Laura Robson.
In 30 minutes of this thread being posted, only two people have congratulated Laura.
