There is no proof that it is just one person reporting posts, in fact it is more probable that there are several people who have done this.

Our sense of humour varies, so what is acceptable to one of us may hit a nerve with others.

Whereas other people have had their knuckles rapped for harmless old jokes, Mr M does seem to have got away with several, in the past that were not in very good taste, on a family site.

I take each joke on its own merit & am not easily shocked, so would not bother reporting one unless it was obviously put up to ridicule another member.

I am astounded at some of the decisions taken by those who moderate these boards, they are either examples of political correctness gone mad or downright favoritism. In my opinion recent decisions have neither been consistent nor impartial.

MR_MAGOO is a well respected member of this site and his jokes are harmless and bring a bit of much appreciated harmless humour into our daily lives.

It is not MR_MAGOO who should be getting warnings - it should be the individual who appears to to have been given free rein over recent weeks to wreak havoc on the boards :-|

Don't get a ban MR M, Take a step back for a while till it settles down, even knock knock jokes would attract an RR at the moment,

I personaly think that in the light of hearing far more explicit jokes when I was a child from school mates and the youngsters today no far more than we did that a genealogy site should be a little more tolerant than appears to be the case,

click on 90% of FB pages and you will see stuff that makes MR M's jokes look like nursery chat

In the IBM FORTRAN 77 Programmers Reference Manual
it is stated that:
" A slash marks the end of a field".

Indeed so.
