Now that's what I call friendship Rose, I too hope your friend recovers well now the problem is recognised.

if your friend is elderly, maybe she could find out about the Cinnamon trust as they help care for people's animals in similar circumstances. Might give her peace of mind if she is poorly again.

well, I'm back, Not caught up yet as just in really, and reeling a bit from the sad news about Sandie,

I was called early Saturday morning by friend in Wales ( not the one I've mentioned recently on here) , she was waiting for an ambulance and desperately worried as to what would happen to her animals, hence my swift departure , with not much more than a spare pair of knickers and a change of t shirt lol. The good news is that she is now home ( though she really should still be in imo) and 'hopefully' the cause of the problem has been identified and treatment started at least, I may disappear again though at some point.
