Some of the adverts that appear on the GR page are worse than Mr M's jokes.

The one to the left of my screen at the moment shows lots of women in undies....I don't want that but I can't RR it.

Bobtanian - I absolutely agree.

When people don't truncate it can cause annoyances and problems for the page.

It can be particularly frustrating for some people with certain disabilities. I have a friend with severe vision impairment who finds it nigh on impossible to read threads where URLs have not been truncated when necessary.

Mind you, some will not know how to do it.
