	Now take the other chopstick and grip it, again about three quarters along, between tips of thumb and forefinger. If you move your forefinger, the chopstick should be lying along its length. Tap the ends on the table so that they are the same length and then move your forefinger in a pincer movement and that should be it. You can practise with small objects.

	You are now going to take the first chopstick and hold it about three quarters of the way up. Do this by placing it in the crook of your hand between the thumb and forefinger and gripping it between the tips of the thumb and middle finger. Then slightly move your thumb and forefinger so that the chopstick is now gripped between the first (outer) knuckle of both. Your thumb should be pointing towards the end of your forefinger and halfway between your middle finger and forefinger.

	Chopsticks are really quite simple to use - I was taught many years ago by an old friend who is Chinese and whose father owns a string of Chinese restaurants. More than happy to give anyone a chopstick masterclass.

	Dizzi - did you know that you can get easy-to-use chopsticks that are joined together? They are designed for children but you might find them easier to use. Have a look at this... http://www.grand-illusions.com/acatalog/Chopsticks_for_Learners.html Hope it helps. I eat my peas with honey. i've done it all my life. It makes the peas taste funny, But it keeps them on the knife.
