Good evening BC <3......well d'ya know that's the first thing I said after seeing this film "how did I miss it?" cos I'm like you and love films.
Please try to see it because it really is a beautiful film and although it has sad bits it's very funny too and I guarantee you'll love seeing clips of the old films etc. Music from soundtrack is good too :-DXX

Oh yes, the cinema was the true centre of the community wasn't it..
Funniest moments for me - when the films had to be run past the priest beforehand, for censorship, that flippin' bell ringing at the mere thought of a kiss coming up - what a pain in the neck to all and sundry!! All they wanted to see was a kiss!!
Soooo very sad at the end.

I have only watched it in Italian. It does it for me!

I <3 that film, it's one of my all time favourites.
I remember when it first came out, I was living and working in Italy at the time and I went to see it in Italian - it didn't matter that I couldn't understand every word, I loved it.
Years later I bought the special edition box set for myself (English subtitiles) so I have it for keeps and can watch it time and time again.
Don't you just love Toto !!
