I purchased a pkt of Youngs Chip Shop Specials , 2 Large Fish Fillets , when I cooked them , THEY WERE SO GREASY , I HAD TO SCRAP THE BATTER OFF, (which I like normaly ) , THE ACTUAL FISH LEFT WAS NOT ENOUGH IN BOTH PCS TO FILL A SANDWICH ! |

Years ago my uncle worked in the 57 variety factory where they made Ketchup, he would never have the stuff in the house. |

I used regularly travel about 30 miles to a Fish and Chip shop I had found on the outskirts of Dundee. Their specialty was a whole haddock, headed, gutted, and tailed, bone left in, then deep fried in their own special batter - the most delicious and juicy fish supper I have ever tasted ;-) |

On several fish products nowadays, there is a code so you can see what sort of fish it is, whether pollock or others. |
