I haven't changed my habits. I still shop at the same butchers I have used for years in our local indoor market in Newcastle and I have never been disappointed. I have bought meat from all the well known supermarkets in the past but I always return to my regular butcher.
When I was a child my parents would frequently buy horse meat from the local knacker yard in Gateshead. I can't remember what it tasted like, but I'm still here today if that puts your minds at rest.

have not changed what i buy, as i have used the same the butcher for many years. i would like to see a return of proper bacon, not full of preseratives and water like they now are. the fat on prepack bacon dosnt look like proper fat to me. so how much has our bacon been processed, i would love to know.
