I awoke this morning thinking about my reasons to be cheerful
This week I attended the funeral of a very dear friend she was warm, kind and loving. She was intelligent, successful in her professional and personal life a very happy cheerful woman; who would always try to find the best in everyone. I along with most of the other people at the funeral service was not aware just what a very difficult start in life she had, and how she overcome her difficulties with her positive cheerful attitude.

Life is so short and oh so fragile. We can look at others and make judgements without really knowing their history and what has made them the way they are, it is so easy to form opinions and make hurtful comments that are very difficult to retract. My friend has been an inspiration to me for many years, I try (and fail sometimes) to emulate her philosophy on life. I am going to miss her and remember her lovely smile.

I thank God for my health and the love of my family and dear friends and count my blessings everyday. I know I have so many reasons to be cheerful, I hope you do to.

I'm going to the wedding of one of my "all grown up" ex-students on Saturday.

I expect I'll cry but it will be cheerful crying.

Gwen I think it is almost compulsory for us to shed a few happy tears at a wedding. I hope you have a good time, and the sun shines for the bride and groom.

I was able to take my old dog to the park again this morning.. Last week I thought I would have to say goodbye to her <3

That has cheered me up along with it being a lovely day here and am feeling good :-D <3

We've had a bad start to the year with the death of a very close loved one, but they were very special, and had a great outlook on life, so it was a privilege to be part of there family.

BIG reason to be cheerful is that all of us woke up this morning :-D

Another reason to be cheerful. I've just heard that another ex student gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this morning.

I'm going to be cooking later.....a batch of Welsh cakes.

I'm really lucky that my teenage grandson is still happy to spend time with me and will be helping me to cook them.
I don't expect his company,after all he has alot of friends and has a busy life, but it's a joy when we spend time together.
