There is a spiritualist church near us which we used to go on a regular basis, havent the time to go as much now, but the proof I got from different mediums was unbelievable, things I had never told anyone, that no one could have known. Also had proof myself, smelt the perfume of my gran, heard my grandad`s voice as though he was in the room, had the feeling of someone putting their arms around me. (Thought it was my little boy who was about 2 at the time, but when I turned round he was sat too far away for it to have been him). When I went to the church that week, the medium outlined what had happened and said it was my gran. She wouldnt have known cos I hadnt told anyone!

No disrespect to non believers, (OH is one of them) but I would certainly like to think there is something there and we will see our loved ones again and everyone believes what they believe.

Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year to everyone x

Go to a show be the first to put your hand up and take the message ,play along with all that you are told and agree ,,,,,,,then draw your own conclusion,

You will be asking for your money back and making a sandwich board protesting at their next show with --FRAUDESTER written on it.

Derek Acorah got proved to be a fraud on tv,,,,,he fell hook line and sinker for the plot,---------his lack of being able to speak Dutch without a scouce accent as he was taken over by the Dutchman's spirit was rib cracking.

and following on from the above

It was interesting doing the covert stuff, we had a team of professionals acting as the plants in the audience. They all had cover stories and he gave one of them a reading about a non existent boyfriend who had died in a car crash. He refused to be interviewed and ran away when we tried to confront him lol. I was interviewed on camera and analysed his performance.

What you can say is that they are all obliged by law to state that their services are for entertainment only.

thought you might be interested in this message I just received from a friend

I just appeared on a BBC programme - Inside Out North East - where we debunked a psychic. It might still be on iplayer, it was just a couple of weeks ago. We followed this guy around for months, secretley filmed and recorded him. He did the same stuff every show, had people crying, upset and distraught on occasions. He was despicable.

Is a short account of him.

Theres no such thing s a psychic, never in the history of the world has one been able to perform under controlled conditions. Its just a huge con. Some people probably believe they are real, but when they get tested they arent.

I did a reading for the bloke opposite me - he doesn't like anyone parking outside his house or opposite it - so I told him that if he didn't stop having a go at neighbours over it he would be receiving a thick ear!!! He doesn't speak to me now :-D :-D :-D

I agree the ones on tv do it for money and fame which is not right but not all do it for money some they dont charge and I feel some people get comfort from getting readings

aivlyS

aivlyS Report 21 Dec 2012 22:49

My concern with mediums/psychics is that people usually go to them in times of real emotional need, and therefore make things 'fit' when they actually don't...but by the same token if it gives comfort then perhaps that in itself is a good thing regardless of accuracy.

I've been to several psychics who all used tarot, the first two took no money, and were very accurate ( though I didn't know it at the time) , the last (paid) gave the same reading to myself and friend, totally innacurate for either/both.

It's a tricky one, because I believe there are people with a genuine 'gift'...but an awful lot of frauds. I have one thing that will be my 'proof' if ever a medium tells me it, something no one else knows.

agree with you Sylvia - those on the TV appear to be con artists who feed on the grief of the bereaved

aivlyS

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 21 Dec 2012 22:34

pity Eldrick isn't here - he'd just love this thread :-D :-D :-D

I have an open mind - worked with a woman who really did seem to have the gift of "seeing things" - really spooky - we were walking along the hospital corridor one day when the hospital manager came alongside - she said to him "You have a nice spring in your step - is it because you are expecting a baby" He was shocked - we have told no one he said

Happened again with one of the guys in the office - she told him - I can see you are having a baby - I see holly - and the baby was born Christms time - he also had told no one

she would read the Tarot cards if someone asked her to and those readings were spot on - I never asked because I didn't want to know what she would come up with

Hi PP, all fine here :-D

We have avery well known medium in Australia, Anthony Grzelka, who is supposed to be very good. He is actually a local person to where i live. he has been on the radio and TV and does seem to have the knack
