I liked and trusted my dentist, but he left, and was replaced by a Greek girl who looks as though she has hardly left school. Beware of Greeks bearing drills! :-|

my friend went to see a dentist years ago they were a new pratice
and he capped severel of her teeth and did loads of work in her mouth
a few days later several of her caps fell out
we later found out he came from india and wasnt a real dentist at all
and was now on the run from the police

but dont worry about her caps i super glues them back in for her
and they are still firmly in place even after all these years

maybe i should of been a dentist :-D :-D

maggiewinchester Report 14 Dec 2012 00:15

Mine's bl**dy useless - as is his hygienist. Come to think ofit they've all been useless.
For 3 years they nagged me to floss my back teeth - for 3 years i told them the floss got caught.
Eventually the hygienist (all of 18) asked me to show her. It took her 5 minutes to remove the floss :-0
She suggested I did it like this - and came at my mouth from the back.
I suggested I wasn't a contortionist and wouldn't be following her example.
Finally it was noticed (after I'd suggested it) that a bit of amalgam had spread from a filling to another tooth - so this had been there for 44 years (I only have 4 fillings, acquired when I was 12 - only needed 1, but the dentist decided to fill all 4 double teeth - 'just in case') and not one dentist had noticed it!!!
No wonder I don't like going!!

I do need to go and get the amalgam removed and the tooth refilled, but when I'm paying through the nose, when he starts on about my smoking, I will find it difficult not to mention his lack of observational skills - and he will have the drill :-P

Our dentist is fine and I never mind going to him. He even has a TV screen set in the ceiling so that we can concentrate on that rather than what is going on in one's mouth. :-D

Years ago, we had a Jewish dentist and he scared us to death. I'm sure he used and re-used very thick blunt needles.....arrrghhh. :-|

Gee Report 14 Dec 2012 09:22

I had a Renfield's/Haemotolangia sufferer for a dentist at one time. When he gave you a scrape & polish, your mouth was left bleeding for hours.....he was really bad

Although my dentist has had a personality bi pass, I do trust him, I think thats important

Mine is useless, I only have three fillings, she is determined to make me need more. I always come out covered in blood, I can't understand a word she or her nurse say.

I had the same thing with floss, once in it is there for good and how are you supposed to get at the back ones yourself from the front ?

My husband also sees her, he thinks she is wonderful, he has the most awful teeth, every one filled, she never does a thing to him and he still has an emergency filling he put in himself on holiday a few years ago. I think she looks at him and thinks that once she starts she will be there forever, he wouldn't pay for all the treatment he needs anyway so she is on to a looser there. She tried to get him to have a crown a few years back and he refused, said it was too much and he wasn't going to pay that much. M
