My budgie broke his leg today so I made him a little splint out of a couple of matches.

His little face lit up when he tried to walk, as did the rest of him... unfortunately, I had forgotten to remove the sandpaper from the bottom of his cage

you budgie has serious problems if his face lit up when getting his bum scratched on sandpaper,but he does live in your house,so he can be excused,its not his fault that he has weird ways,its the environment hes been brought up in.

Still it's better than deciding as a ( for no tangible reason other than 'mummy' had a holiday and I didn't like the house sitter) stressed cat, that under 'mummy's' bed is a good place to defecate
