Suzanne, shortly after you posted on the 'Congratulations' thread about the problem, tha same thing happened to one of my posts on another thread.

Originally I thought that I'd hit the back button by mistake, but my post still wasn't there when I used 'my threads' I just assumed that although I'd composed a reply I just didn't send it :-(

Suzanne
Are you sure you are logged in.
I´ve done that so many times. Written a reply to a post & sent it, only to find it hasn´t gone through & when I check I find that for some reason I´m not logged in.

Phoned Suzanne this morning and she accidentally spilt sherry in her Horlicks last night. Not coherent yet. Will reply to this thread as soon as able :-S :-D

Suzanne and Allan, I think I know what you mean. You reply on a post, and wait for it to appear on the thread. It doesn't appear immediately,in spite of you watching it and waiting for it to appear. You lose patience, and go off onto another thread.
When you return about 10 minutes later, there it is.

Perhaps the staff at GR are being too cautious in vetting what goes on the boards,or maybe they're too slow. :-|

wisechild-it shouldn't make any difference if you're logged in or not. It's happened to me, and I never log in or out.

Edit-just for the record, this post appeared straight away!!

:-) :-) :-)

JustJohn Report 5 Sep 2012 09:00

That has never happened to me on any of 500 posts I have sent this last 4 weeks. Have been RR's once and have had several fist fights, so would have expected mine to have been vetted a bit more than less contentious posters. :-D :-D

Didn't really phone Suzanne, by way. But think I am right :-D

Margaretta.
In the past I have found that I have been logged out. for no apparent reason.
As I understand it, free members can´t initiate posts, nor reply to them.
If for some reason you have been involuntarily logged out without realising, your posts will not be sent.

I find that I have gone to add to a thread and the " add your reply " box isnt there. Then checking at the top of page it says log in. when I have already done so.
