i got up this morning to, 2 banisters stolen,

im having my full house renovated, and had took them of, and put them by the side of my garage, dad was going to use them to make things,

came for them today, and.................gone,

nowt as queer as folk, i tell thee lol,

That's terrible for you both.

Some people haven't got any morals :-(

My Dad had sweet revenge a few years ago knowing that the theft was going he put loads of cart grease on the pots, the thieves didn't get far, as soon as they realised what was on them they put them down before getting out of the garden.

what can I put on my remaining two larger matching tubs - they each have a lovely rose in them - I can't move them to the back garden - a bit too heavy for me and they look nice where they are

When my mum had a chimney pot taken down from the roof, my OH planted it up for her and she had it in the front garden - it lasted less than a week before it disappeared. How he wishes he had cemented it to the ground as he had considered doing.

well until I come up with something better I've sprayed the planters froim top to bottom with olive oil!!!!

I have used Vaseline in the past (it also deters slugs) Only problem being when you forget and cover yourself :-S :-D :-D

It does last though and doesn't wash away in the rain

fill the base of your pots with big rocks/broken bricks, making them to heavy to shift once the soils on top,

Stray~~~~ In theory yes, but the B*****s managed to lift a jacuzzi full of water over a brick wall not so long ago.

Last weds had police ring my doorbell...had I seen any suspicious characters around as just up the road someone had lost food from freezer in garage.this is extremely quiet area of detached houses and normally very low on crime.
I saw the lady who had had the break in when at shop and she said they had broken lock and only stolen a whole salmon she had got in for dinner party.

Who would steal food?
I think it must be gypsies or someone camping as it is holiday area,but who knows?

BTW...Not my Jacuzzi..!

I should be so lucky, feet in kids paddling pool is best I can manage, lol

iv had boooze and soft drinks stolen from my outhouse fridge freezer, and some low life, opened my freezer door last yr and left it open,defrosting all my food,


my outhouse is now secured, and iv had no problems since,

i was debating on leaving it open one weekend, and leavng them a nice bottle of "somthing not nice" for them to pinch, :-|

Oooo Yes Stray .. and I know where I would like to put my hose and fittings if ever i find out who had them along with the ladder ......... Extended ;-)
