Hi, Tania, welcome back.

First of all I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father to mesothelioma. I do so hope he didn't suffer too long.

My eldest sister died from it two years ago but it took the boffins about four years to find out what she had. She kept telling them she wasn't well!
Indeed she wasn't.
How did she become involved with asbestos?
Our other sister died from bowel and kidney cancer earlier.

If that isn't enough my wife died from pancreatic cancer eight weeks ago today - it was all over in months - and soon after that my daughter told me she has ovarian cancer (she's 44); she goes under the knife today (19th). Hopefully that will clear everything away for her so she is free from this curse.

To round off this bloody cancer epidemic. Is it the chemicals in our food AND the poisonous atmosphere of decades that is the cause of so much misery?

My late wife's sister died from lung cancer and her youngest sister is still battling breast cancer after 5 1/2 years, poor kid. So much chemo and radiation for her. I don't know how she hangs on; really, I don't.

I'm sorry - I've certainly strayed from your question; please forgive me.

There has been so much hiccups on this site with goodness knows how many 'improvements' that sometimes everything ceases to function normally. Perhaps you remember Hot Matches? Well, not so much working nowadays, it seems.

I have been saying for years I won't renew with GR, but each year I do. No longer! I finish on June 23rd - and unlike Terminator Arnie "I won't be back!"

There are still very many nice folks here for certain, but there is also a person who likes to report threads seemingly willy-nilly. Some folks say they know who it is but I haven't a clue and I don't care.

This was a terrific site up to about four years ago, Tania, but the number of users has shrunk tremendously.

The old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it" is lost on those who wield the master keyboards on GR. It also seems that sister ship FR has been revamped and you cannot forward a link to someone to view if they can't sign in. How useful is that!

I'll be gone in a few days for certain this time!

Welcome back, anyway, and I hope you enjoy the mostly good folks who are on here. Take care.

Thanks for your kind thoughts for my daughter, Tania. Fingers crossed indeed!

Yes, this picture is my lovely Margaret. A "marvellous mother and a wonderful wife" as I put in her obituary. She truly was beautiful on the inside and on the outside. I put many pictures of her on a link at 'dropbox'.

Enjoy your return to GR.

Please excuse me again on your thread, Tania.

Thank you, Joy. I hope everything is well with you.
Yes, thank you, my Margaret still is so very 'hot' and so beautiful as far as I'm concerned - and she always will be, bless her.

I just heard from my son-in-law. It seems everything went very well and there's a great chance my daughter might not have need chemo or other treatment. That's a huge relief.
(Treatment is not always the help we mostly think it is, and we both wish Margaret had not had any.)
I hope to know more about my daughter's condition tomorrow.

Thanks again, Tania.

Warm regards to everyone.
