My Potato Masher....Never used on potato's, but works great to open the handle on top kitchen window and hooks back to close again :-)

Teresa - I too have mad curly hair, but I gave up fighting with it about five years ago. I've got some "mature blonde" bits, but I've also got pink streaks, so I don't look so much like a mad cauliflower, or if I've stuck my finger in an electric socket :-D

Yes, my kettle...that's another one....tea just doesn't taste the same when the kettle's up the spout and you've boiled the water in a saucepan...

Scozz..you have my sympathy....it's a long hard struggle to keep curly hair under control isn't it? And people with straight hair want curly hair and keep telling us how lucky we are!!!! :-S

you got that right Teresa! My brother says I went in the hair line twice, must have taken his place, cos he's baldy.

At least we don't spend a fortune on perms.

But I have to at least run my fingers through my hair in the morning! People who complain about "bed head" should see me in the morning! I look like I'm wearing a fright wig.

Mine's long, so it puts you in mind of Billy Connolly with his finger in the socket if I leave it natural :-D :-D

LollyWithSprinklez I am so glad that someone else uses their potato masher to reach the window lol my kitchen window swings out a long way and I can just reach the handle with the masher to pull it closed :-D

Never thought about the potato masher, I've struggled with the handle of the picker upper...mind I could bring me walking stick back into commission...

Nobody has mentioned scissors,what would we do without our kitchen,embroidery,dressmaking,pinking,garden,and any other sort.

I use my hubby,s walking stick to open and close my windows,lasso rambling rose growth to tie in,and hooking down blackberry branches in autumn. :-D :-D :-D

Rose...Yep same here, OH & sons all tall and throw top kitchen window open too far for me to reach, found the masher to be the perfect solution.

Walking stick perfect for drawing curtains and gathering nets when put back after wash.....I cant hang them but men are useless at gathering unless you want one fold and a straight line

Long handled dust pan and brush and my blow drier brush for my hair as it is kinky - my hair that is.

Mine being my computer chair, I'm sitting on it at the moment :-) My daughter gave it to me many years ago and it literally takes me all over the place. I scoot from fridge to cooker, from cupboard to sink, brill...have even taken it out onto the garden path to tend my flower pots...Children who come to visit love it also but usually have it taken off them after us adults have had their toes run over a few times :-D
