good heavens - I thought you were in Africa!!!!

I love the sounds of the countryside .. the birds.. the cats wailing .. the lambs in the neighbours truck that baa all night but have to be brought home because their mothers have rejected them .. this is a real shepherd who has no softy feelings for his flock .. they either survive or they don't. but he will do everything he can to keep them alive because it is his livelihood
His Collie lives in his pick up and would hate to live in the house .. then just over the road we have a field full of Llamas ?,, the pheasants are wandering everywhere ,, if they survive the roads they will be ready for the shooting season and the Muntjac deer are another casuality because their yearly track is across a bypass to the village .. enough survive and are a complete PIA to all our local farmers.
The rape seed is spreading it's pollen .. so some are sneezing but the wheat and corn is now knee high and my Lab has a huge grin on her face when she runs through it .
Life is pretty good and pretty normal for us living in the Cotswolds.

I was listening to the blackcaps warbling in the laurel hedge...but that got interrupted by next doors spaniels objecting to being sent out into the garden...for two hours non stop...3 police cars, sirens wailing alerting traffic that wasn't there until they came along, an ambulance, then the bloke over the road's scooter loudly sounding like Crazy Frog (remember that?)...and stinking my flat out with his too-rich fuel.

Silence doesn't last long here...

Because you mentioned a magpie. Everyone knows its bad luck to say magpie on a wednesday at the end of May when the moon is not full.

But I don't care - I tweak the nose of superstition and live dangerously - it's the only way. I see you do the same. Well done.

have to nip out the back garden a mo - have to strangle a magpie which has not shut his beak since dawn!!!!!

mmmm - a pile of yellow sick on the Edgware Road - methinks they'll make that a no parking area

Slightly overcast but warm here, windows open. Rather too early to hear the dulcet tones of tourists exclaiming wonder at:

a) looking at the sea
b) the shocking cost of parking their car £3.00
c) how quaint the houses are whilst peering through windows
d) expounding on the local sea life which they know bugger all about
e) moaning that people speak Welsh!
f) shouting at brats who seem to lack understanding that cars do travel on roads around the bays and they will run them down if they persist in wandering willy nilly

we heard a cuckoo havent heard one for ages

my dog one ate a burning hot sausage at a BBQ and sicked it back up
then waited till it was ool then re ate it

they can be discusting critters :-(

Westie has a bad case of doggy flatulence. How could

Awww, BC you need some peace and tranquility. Theres a room here anytime you want a break from the noise of the city.

In fact theres one room that is really quiet indeed, grandmas old room........

My dog has just sicked up bright yellow on the Edgware Road...*frets...oh yes the sounds of the city, ambulances, police., mad cyclists, pigeons cooing, neighbours revving up for a row...ahhh bliss :-D :-D
