Ah Teresa,

The evidence is in my Hotmail In-box. A response from Genes telling me that my thread has been reported (or al least the opening post) and the offending article has been removed.

So perhaps I done the double whammy :Reported, reinstated yet supposed to be deleted :-S

Well I have,nt been RRd yet for what I put on that thread,(Mind I might be with the latest one today, :-D However, its all in the mind :-S and if read properly and understood, ;-) its completely innocent, :-D :-D :-D

I'm fairly certain this RRer is the one who admitted to doing it last week. A simple piece of advice was given, re. putting Vaseline in the nostrils to prevent pollen getting in was given yesterday.

This was clearly twisted to be reported as medical advice which is wasn't. and even if it was, it's Vaseline, not a prescription drug, you can't really use too much of it, unlike certain prescription drugs, so not dangerous to people reading it at all. Then of course there's the fact that Joy said it....one of the supposed 'gang'. The Vaseline thread grew from the ridiculous RRing on Muffy's thread, nothing more...and nothing really offensive was said...innuendo maybe..not offensive.

And let's be real here, if someone doesn't like it, perhaps they shouldn't be lurking on the internet...or at least have the courage to SAY it...instead of hiding behind the RR button.

But as I said earlier, whoever it is, whatever their aim (which if it's the person mentioned above, is to get certain members banned by her own admission again), they shot themselves in the foot. This board is lively and funny, and has been for 24 hours now. Like a breath of fresh air. :-D

I think the competition idea is fab!!!! - we could make it a monthly award!

Sue, a simple request to remove any offensive post of mine would be complied with, as it has been on many occasions.

I have also viewed numerous posts wihich I have found offensive but I've merely then chosen to ignore that particular thread.

I find the idea that someone can anonymously report a thread without giving the author a chance to take any action contrary to the whole principle of natural justice

When you think about it all RR'ers are mysteries.

Shoot me down in flames but has anyone thought that someone may have truly been offended? And don't now all turn towards me with suspicion on your faces :-P

Well it's not like I haven't TRIED to get RR'd...mostly because I don't care any more...and I've been ignored...

Actually, Ann, on reflection, we could turn the other thread into a competition.

Only those posters who get RR'd can go on to the Grand Final. There can be no allegations of bias as we will have a truly independent judge

Jude, you'd have to wade through the entire ten pages of the thread, but numerous posters received RR's whilst contributing to it. It is actually a very humorous thread, despite some person's opinion to the contrary :-)

Jude, Muffy had a thread up asking about rapeseed as she is suffering badly with the pollen. Joy suggested using Vaseline up the nostril to prevent the pollen getting in.

Now this is advice given clearly on the NHS Direct website, so in the public domain...but someone decided it was not suitable for GR...(probably twisted it to make out it was medical advice) and RR'd it.

Allan then put a thread up about Vaseline, nothing horrible in it, but that was quickly RRd and the thread grew from there.

But it's brought the humour back to the boards, so they 'mystery' RR-er shot themselves in the foot this time. :-D :-D :-D

The problem with my sense of humour is that my humour doesn't make sense.

Well in the very depths of my twisted, tortuous, mind it does and I did identify all those ink blots as bats correctly.

It's just a slight problem that they were showing me pictures of pancakes at the time
