I love kippers, OH hates them.

When my brother came to stay I got some (imported) kippers from the local Fishermen's Co-op. Instructions on how to cook.......... boil in the bag! I've never cooked them like that before.....the kippers were nice, and OH didn't complain about the smell.

Wend Report 15 May 2012 22:48

I'm off to bed chuckling - nuts in men's underpants, whatever next? Could be a real health hazard that :-0

As for crabs, I only had them tonight - I shall be scuttling about in the morning :-D

Love most fish and shellfish. Especially like whitebait.

Have had sardines and calamare (battered squid rings) since we arrived here. Tonight had cod in white sauce with truffles. very nice but too much salt in the cod. They do oversalt things here.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 15 May 2012 22:11

well you wouldn't want nuts in men's underpants now would you!!!

I think Wendy dresses her crab in a knitted shawl and booties for the claws

Their was talk about Food labelling being expanded to include clothing for people with allergies against certain fabrics until they realised that "contains nut" was not a suitable thing to put on packaging for men's underwear ;-)

I've had a idea - how's about a meet sometime in the future on Brighton Pier and we can all have a bit of crab or whatever takes yer fancy in the lovely (not expensive) fish restaurant on there.

OR - more to the point - a Meet up North, where I'm sure the crabs are just as tasty and classy as down South.

Do I mean North-East? Dunno- talking rubbish . . . . .

Sorry, talking rubbish, think I'll creep off this thread, sorry
