I'll bear your kind offer in mind Roy, is distance a problem for you?

My husband showed a couple of houses on A Place In The Sun....his only claims to fame.

Distance is not a problem for me, :-D

I include my expenses in my final invoice ;-)

There used to be a programme called something like Garden Magic. It was quite pleseant. The premise was that someone who felt that a friend deserved a reward could nominate them for the programme.A couple of gardeners would then come and do some small work or alteration in the garden. My friend Sarah wanted to put my name forward and asked me if she could. I said I wasn't keen but it meant masses that she thought so much of me.

I wouldn't have any makeover programme actually in my house.I watched part of a programme once and it was just too much for me. All those people all judging my life and dumping it in a skip.

I think it's an intrusion of privacy.
A home is not just decor, it's the years of memories and items bought that have been collected to make it comfortable for the occupants.

I would hate it if a team came here and have often told my family what I think of the idea.

They may do a good job at times??? But we watched one where they took chunks out of the walls whilst trying to get too big furniture up the stairs. I couldn't help wondering if they would put this right afterwards which really meant redecorating the whole of the hall, stairs and landing as they were all papered to match.

I would love It..!!

Providing I could keep all my Knick Knacks out of harms way

Then they could load several skips with all the "good pieces of wood, handy piece of iron, don't throw that away" items my OH has hoarded for years.

It wouldn't leave any time for an actual makeover but at least I would have some space :-D

Hi Lolly

It's lovely to read your reply, an ideal way of getting rid of all the stuff you don't want and have hoarded over the years - as long as you only have 60 minuets worth. With about 20 people on the job it shouldn't be a problem

Hi Wendy

The only problem would be keeping the main culprit from bringing it all back in again + anything else that has been skipped :-(
