The ultimate sacrifice for me.
We have had roast lamb with roast pots, broccoli, carrots, gravy & mint sauce with mint from the garden, followed by chocolate trifle decorated with mini eggs.
As I hate lamb it was a personal sacrifice because OH loves it & because it´s traditional.
The only complaint was that I had put too much brandy in the trifle (didn´t know you could!!). As we only have pud at Christmas, Easter & birthdays, I was maybe a bit overenthusiastic. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Why am I so hungry right now ?!! They all sound great.
I have a turkey cooking as I sit here.
Having mashed spuds; broccoli, peas, sweetcorn, stuffing....raw carrots for daughter...cooked plain carrots for sons and carrots with ginger and a sweet and sour type sauce for the adults.....and lots and lots of cranberry jelly kids can't get enough of it......then a French vanilla cake with little chocolate eggs on it for decoration....chocolate cupcakes...and as much ice cream as anyone wants......that's at lunch time...in the evening it's a help yourself time my feet will be up and the glass of wine in hand time !!

I love lamb but no one else seems too so no point cooking it !!
Happy Easter everyone

I very rarely consume alcohol, because I dont like it, whereas the complainant is rarely seen without a wineglass in his hand. But honestly, how can you have a decent trifle without a good slosh of something alcoholic?
No doubt several people will be able to advise alternatives.
