Am I going loopy loo la...or has Suzanne's thread re leaving the boards gone missing?

GR have asked for the link to it so they can look into it .....so if I'm missing something please nudge it back up for me so I can pass the link on.

At least GR are now going to look into who keeps RRing her, personally l think its a group of people so not one name keeps popping up.

I can't find it, but I did notice the first post was RRd last night. speaks volumes lol. Maybe GR did the thread removal?

I think you're right, but all those names will also keep popping up, as one person can only manage a certain number of accounts :-D ;-) :-D, and really, only one person can RR a single post these days, and they're usually pretty quick, so I'd be surprised if one name didn't stand out among the others.

Let's hope they can tackle this once and for all. We have to have the report facility, it's only fair, but for those who love to abuse it to victimise certain people, it should be noted how many times certain people use it to report

Muffy, do you mean the one where she said goodbye and thanks for support? The long one? If so I gave them the link to that thread yesterday. Can't see the thread today. Maybe Suzanne deleted it before she went to work. :-)

As you say..the first post was reported so in this instance whoever did the reporting has done us a favour in a way lol....GR have a record of it in their system...which they wouldn't have done if for instance Suzanne decided to delete now she's decided to stay.... it would've been handy to just provide the link to the whole thread to make it easier..but hey ho..no matter.

I've told GR that the thread has gone...and asked that Suzanne's reports be looked into. So hopefully they'll be looking into now which is a RESULT !!! x

Allowing one person to effectively remove a post by 'reporting' is ridiculous and open to abuse (and upset) as we have all noticed. The posts should stay and GR should be more on the ball and ready to look at any 'offensive' post and make a decision - preferably within a couple of hours. This would also attract complaints from the geuinely offended members so GR could gauge the 'offensiveness' better and not delete posts for whimsical reasons.

TBH Island, when posts used to stay, and numerous people would report the same post...it was even more open to abuse...as we know multiple accounts used to be doing the reporting. At least this way, a posssibly offending post is removed until it is reviewed, then it is reinstated. ONE person only does the reporting and that is it.

Whatever reporting system is used, it will always be open to abuse by certain individuals. I personally think this way is better.

Teresa, I'm not sure how anyone apart from GR would know how many members had reported a post prior to the new report method and don't see why this is a problem.
One person being able to cause so much upset is ridiculous and the system really needs looking into again. eg, GR working for the subs we pay.
