i seen someone mention it on fb, but thought better come to bed were i dnt have all the extra channels lol

all small inter breeds come with high health risks, and I can never understand peoples wants for of self pampering to own them and pay someone big bucks for inter-breeding a heinz variety of pedigree dogs,,,,,,grossly wicked to purposly keep using a poor dog to mate to line pockets,,,,its indecent and more so the selfish who buy them..

couldnt watch it as I'd blow a gasket and be upset for days,

It's interesting, not just re the smaller dogs, but for instance the number of pedigree boxer dogs bred from a single stud dog who all have juvenile kidney disease the same applies to dalmations which if cross bred with US dalmations ( blocked by the kennel club) would NOT have the problem they do, and Cavaliers..well I won't even go into the pain they can suffer..or I shall explode :-(

what makes me laugh is people cross breeding
giving the crosses fancy names cockerdoodles maltypoos ect
when they had a name already mongrels
you can dress them up as you like but thats what they are
and charging fancy prices
lets keep the breeds pure
most sections in dogs come from inexsperienced people
playing god with their dogs lives

Funny someone I overheard Saturday about their boxer dog who 14,,and from then till now how much the shape of the face altered with the breed,,,,,,,more pug like features,

Why if you love dogs would you breed dogs who suffer to titilate your vanity?... quote from a geneticist on there sums it up for me...

Sweden has strict limits on inter breeding of boxers and the times a stud dog can be bred from, which has worked.

if your going to breed dogs or any other animal
you have to go into the genetics of breeding
and way the pros and cons up first
before enbarking on willie nilly atempts of breeding
theres nothing worse than a back yard breeder
who knows nothing but thinks they know it all
or even worse somebody who just puts a dog with a bitch
and exspects the cash to roll in

I can usually watch most things, but the poor little pug being operated on so she can breath is almost too much :-(

I'm glad the beep took a stance no to broardcast,,,,,slaps them on the back for showing some compassion and human feelings for the scandlous way poor dogs are fashioned for the selfpampering of I wants. :-| :-| :-|

I watched it and the Kennel Club standards have a lot to answer for. I would guess the breed standards were written by breeders of 'modified' dogs, bloody idiots!

Although I love some pedigree dogs (but wont have any more dogs as I can't care for them properly) it's a disgusting way to treat 'dumb' animals and by that I mean the people who BUY these puppies.

its not just dogs.....it happening in all breeds of animals to bring about a styled breed that has the result of malformd genes and all manner of making to a short unhealthy life.


I took ownership of a yorkie,KC pedigree of 5 generations of top parentage..the owner died,,,,,,,she was prime beauty for breeding at 18 months old,,,,,,,,,,I could no more put her though mating I'd rather stick pins in me eyes...

I didn't watch it...but I will watch it on iplayer.at some point today.

Despite having two pedigree dogs myself I remain highly sceptical about the Kennel club ...it doesn't play any role in animal welfare whatsoever...you try and contact them to inform them that a dog has genetic defects and ask that they inform the breeder and put a halt on registering any further puppies from that dam and sire....you get a bit fat NOTHING.

Personally the KC registration with my two meant nothing to me. They were both home bred..not commercially bred...and I'd investigated thoroughly both the breed and the breeders involved.

Poodles are prone to eye problems so I made sure Scarlett was screened.

Harper was also eye checked...though I don't think the prob is AS bad with Miniature Schnauzers.

Tbh..if I'd had my way I'd have bypassed the Kennel club completely and gone without the papers...

I honestly believe the KC can and should do far more to remedy the breed standards...and connected issues

and this before I've even watched it lol...maybe I'll change my mind later x
