My reckoning is he's used the John Terry debacle as a way out & he'll be off with his six million from his contract.

Just my thoughts.

Why a way out ?

It can't be a coincidence this happened on the day Harry Redknapp was cleared of tax evasion........

As a Spurs fan I'd be gutted...but I think the writing is on the wall and has ben for a long time.

Only possible way I can be placated is by getting Mourinho........

Don't think you should get a payout if you quit only if you're sacked.

Harry's the man.

If he's quit he's broken his contract and shouldn't get a penny imho.

However...it's the FA...no doubt there's a clause or seven in his contract stating that he'll get a bonus at the end of the term regardless of whether he serves it etc etc etc.

Bunch of old dinosaurs should all resign and bring new blood in imho. They've decimated the National game for too long now !

I would agree with Mourinho going to Spurs. I think he would take that if offered.

Doesn't really matter who they get to replace him - we might as well face the fact that we're crap as a national team.... ;-) ;-) ;-)

Muffy is spot on about the dinosaurs at the FA.
Was it right to strip John Terry of the captaincy before he's been found guilty? I can't abide racism of any sort and if found guilty John Terry fully deserves punishment.
Harry Redknapp is definitely the one to wake up the England team from their slumber.
Capello has wanted out for some time and certainly picked his
moment ;-)

Well Why should the FA (certainly not for football association) take the decision to take the captaincy off John Terry,.they are making it out that he is guilty of all charges even before the court case.

I would have thought they should have the common sense to hold fire and at least discuss with Capello what would be the best option for the captaincy.

This strikes of WE are in charge and you will do as WE want not what you think should be done.

They should get rid of the Dinosaurs from the FA and get some young blood in but please NOT Beckham.
The FA have already told Arsene Wenger that he isn't wanted as England Manager.

So If they give the job to Redknapp I hope he has enough spine to tell them to go to hell if anything goes wrong ie like the debacle of J Terry's captaincy.

I have one small point to make about John Terry. In any other job, you would be suspended pending investigation for any misdemeanour during the course of your work...why is this any different.

My only objection is that the FA should have done it immediately, not later.

Re. the England manager. We may be crap as a team, but I do believe that is down to poor foreign managers. How can an italian manager motivate the England team if they are playing Italy? We need a British manager who can retain that pride in the shirt, and pick the right players instead of the same old line-up. I do believe Harry is the man to do that.

Muffy,have you thought Harry may not want the job as seemingly it looks as if whoever gets the job has to Kowtow to the FA all the time.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't Sue...

He's not long recovered from a heart op and the more part time aspects of it would suit his health a lot better than the weekly grind of the premiership.


I would LOVE him to stay more than anything...but I think if he's offered it he's gone :-(
