Err no it wasn't me in 'Mums Go To'. I don't make a habit of silent but deadlies everywhere I go. You obviously think I should be renamed 'Walking Silent But Deadly Woman

:-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-D

Hi Jillian

Sorry, wrong choice of wording on my part. I'd typed 'I don't know what you mean' (re ag labs) Then thought I might get helpful advice on what an ag lab is and waste others time so changed it. :-D

re your story........
Was it you who sidled up to me at desserts in 'WhyMums GoTo' and sloped off leaving me holding the lid up??? The dirty cat - it took me a whole aisle to escape it! :-D :-D

Err. Thought to add something here given the mention of clearing the way. This is a true story. It is my true story so laugh with me if you will.

Some years ago I worked in Learning Support in a secondary school. One day it was nearing the end of the lesson I was supporting a child in and I just needed to get outside (if you get what I'm saying). I walked out into the corridor that led, about 10 yards away, to the outside. All the kids were going in different directions and talk about cattle pushing and shoving. I was getting squashed and I also realised I would not be able to make it outside before I needed to ....... So I gave in and did a silent but deadly. That corridor cleared in seconds!

Hope you have a smile now. :-D

Hi Island

Copied quote 'Sorry, can't help with the ag lab bit because I don't know what you are implying'

Nothing offensive intended at all. Just a dig at that person I mentioned who referred to anywhere outside London as 'The Sticks'. He seemed to think that anyone who didn't live London way was a right peasant-type and we hadn't progressed beyond using animal bones for a plough ie agricultural labourers like my ancestors.

:-) :-) :-)

Hope to catch up with you at another event.

Katie,

Nice to see a member of GR staff answering on the threads.
I wasn't actually meaning last year for the York FHF as I didn't go to last years.
I am talking about 3 years ago/2 yrs ago.and they were supposed to be on the 2nd floor then.
By the way there were 18 to 20 people looking for the stall a couple of years ago but not one of us could find it.
Must have been invisible that wekend.

Hi Julia,
I realise travel costs are prohibitve for many - wherever the event is - but they don't just happen in London.
Hmmmm.........I think I'm glad you mentioned your bowells LOL

Merlin, the queens horses don't clear traffic in that dept so I'd be verrry impressed if Julia did a one woman street evacuation! :-0 ;-) :-D

Is it my imagination or have I just seen a GR employee respond to a post on here.
Katie, are you aware of the existence of the Suggestions board which has been studiously ignored for days?

Julia, surely with your conections in the Mafioso you could get in free,( A little bit of leaning on people ) as for your (Ahem) Bowels. it would certainly clear the traffic out of the way. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-S

Island, Hiya, I would be up for your very kind offer, but it would not be financially viable for me, amongst other things. What with train fares, modest hotel, cost of ticket, on the day expenses, and something new to wear, 'cause I do not have anything in the wardrobe suitable to wear LOL, it would be rather expensive, and as I mentioned to Dizzi on her other thread, I could go for a long weekend in a luxury hotel, for two for what it would cost, for me.
I also have to take into consideration me bowels.LOL. I would hate to have a session of those, whilst in London.
But, all joking aside, it is a wonderful offer on your behalf, to 'chum-up' with someone in a better position than myself, who would also like to go.
If you go, I hope you enjoy yourself.

I can. Sorry.

I've said I'm up for going (and willing to ask questions) if anyone wants to come with me (it appears to be £25 for two) but I have been ignored in favour of negativity.
