Suzanne we have found they work if you put your foot on the centre to activate as suggested but let them tilt slightly and fall back to get the 8s to come up before the zeros. It is as if the activator is actually a rocker switch. They are more or less acurate to the ones we had before, maybe weigh half a pound lighter that's all.

Sounds as though they,re WW3 scales, :-D.jumping on them and no doubt kicking and swearing at them, accusing them of telling lies etc. much better to go on the Public Weighbridge, somebody does it all for you and you get a certified true weight ticket. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)

It's all that jumping on and off that makes the weight come off lol

I got some fancy ones for o.h. for his birthday when he was diagnosed with diabetes etc and told to lose weight, they tell your body fat or whatever, but you have to programme them first. I am never sure if they are right tho, even the ones in my doctor's surgery don't seem reliable, I weighed a different weight in his room and then the asthma nurse weighed me and I was lighter lol

With all the jumping up and down people seem to have to do for these s scales then it's a wonder the battery ain't squashed..

I dont have WW scales, but mine have me puzzled. One morning I weighed myself. After I hopped off, I thought 'that cant be right can it?' I weighed myself again and got a much lighter reading. I decided to do it a third time and got a different reading again. That was all within the space of 2 or 3 mins at most.

I presume the scales you bought are digital and have batteries? Perhaps the batteries are going flat.

That's why they're WW scales then Suzanne. You step on to weigh yourself and lose weight as you're doing it :-D

Ah, I see. You'll probably have to take them back then. Very annoying!

Just looked on the web and I reckon they are made specifically for Tesco.

The ones we have don't have anywhere to input user numbers Wend theya re just basic scales. (320). I think the others may be more expensive. I'll leave it up as a fun thread for now.

Thankyou for that, Merlin, ha b****y ha! :-P

Ann, I have just had a look at the WW website and, I must say, the scales certainly do more than normal ones. I had a look at the instructions and wondered if you are putting in your own user numbers before you use them each time.

AnninGlos Report 4 Jan 2012 12:57

Lol! But you can have an awful lot of fun taking turns to jump on and off to see if you can activate them.

The ones I had kept telling me that they only worked with one person at a time on them.
