I don't know about the sales - never go. What I am getting cheesed off with is all the e-mails I'm getting from the same companies that were pressurising me to buy stuff before Christmas, now trying to get rid of it all at half price or whatever.

Could someone send me a funny e-mail. My in-box is very boring!! :-( ;-) :-D

I've never seen complaints about the poor emergency services staff not being able to spend christmas with their families :-S

or those who work in the entertainment industry - somebody has to get the tv programmes to us, rubbish or no rubbish :-0
Then there's the trip to the panto on boxing day.

Loads of people work over bank holidays so what's so different about shop staff?

I hate shopping at the best of times, so usually steer clear of the sales! It used to be a 'big thing' and not start until January, but now it's just the same old same old. I do need some new bedding, so might venture into town next week!!

Some years ago, I worked for D****hams, as the Catering Secretary.
Come sales time, you should have seen the rails and rails of absolute carp that came into the store. It was just an excuse to empty their warehouse.
