We have separate wardrobes so in there mine are always facing away. But we have a rail in the airing cupboard and invariably if OH puts the clothes to aie (he irons them), theya re every which way. So, when you take them out to put away it takes ages to sort them out. |

Well, ladies and gents, seems it is a man thing after all. barbaras reason is good, it is easier to take the hanger down if it faces away from you, its not tidiness gone mad! Thanks for answering. |

I think most men probably hang them as you see it the wrong way just to show how petty something like this can be. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) |

Facing away, as for OH, he would just grab any hanger and "shove" the clothes onto it. |

As a holiday job whilst waiting to go to Uni, our daughter worked in a well known sports clothing shop. They were instructed to hang alternately, i.e. one hanger with open end away from you, next hanger open end towards you, and so on. This was so that nobody could run in, grab and handful of items and run out again!! |

Yes Jean, think it must be a man thing I hang mine facing away but OH hangs facing out, even though I change them every few weeks he still persists. |
