I do avoid joining a lot of the stuff on FB I'm sure the info the programme makers get is the cause of lots of junk mail, and scam mail. Anything that says allow them to share your details and that of friends I'd come out of. I started to fill in a questionare one day and realised where it was leeding. I didn't clear the boxes but just closed computer down shutting off with the scuares. Next week I got a call about changing gas supplier. I asked where they got my number from, and they said I might have filled in a questionaire on FB! |

I think it's a great way of keeping in touch with family and old friends and I love it. Use it carefully and it's a bonus :-D |

That's a shame Chris but the problems would still be there even without Facebook - unfortunately. |

I was very reluctant at first as I didn't trust the security of the site. However, my experience so far has been very positive (although I still have issues over how complicated the site makes it to keep things private). |

As I am in Australia I can keep in touch with my UK family and friends. I get to see their photos and hear their daily news. When my son was in the army and was deployed overseas it was a way for us to keep in touch. He couldn't often phone but he could put up a daily message - that meant the world to us. If used properly it is safe. |

I too love facebook. My sister who is in her 70's and in very poor health lives in South Africa so I can be in contact with her on a daily basis when she is poorly, also my neices live out there too, and their children and grandchildren.I have weekly photos of them all and feel as though they are near me which I wouldnt have without facebook as I could not afford to phone them.I also have family in Germany who keep in touch this way as well as other family members around the country. |

I agree with Mildred. It's a useful tool and I love to see photos of my cousins' children, for example, when normally, 300 miles apart, I wouldn't know them at all. |

Agree love Facebook. My daughter lives in SA so instead of the £200+ phone bills we can talk for free. Only half an hour ago youngest daughter put up picture of my grandchildren at a ball pit, instant viewing. As long as you only accept people you can trust, if not as Mildred said just bin lol |
