what would you do with it? OH says he would not go public. He would set up trust funds for direct members of our family, send a goodly sum to The Dogs Trust, The Donkey Sanctuary and the Horse Welfare.

Me I want to buy a lifeboat named after my Dad. We are sorted - all we need to do now is win!

Certainly would not go public.

Going to agree with you on the charities and the lifeboard as they would be the same ones I would want to give to.

But as you say got to win it first.

i would not go public to
but i would clear all my family and mates bills without them knowing
and deposit money in their accounts
i would also get my legal team to write to them saying
they had won a holiday cruise
and take them all on the most wonderful round the world adventure
while pretending i have won the same holiday
i would also open a purpose built youth club on our estate
and teach the youngsters plumbing hairdresing joinery ect
give them kids a future and award allowances for further education
then i would donate to my favorite charities and our local hospital
i would also pay for the best doctors for somebody special
and her dear hubby the best staff to give him a break
and all the help they need
also the best medical help for somebody dear to me from GR
undergoing an op at the end of the month
they would have the worlds best surgeons and the best care possible

I'd make all my close friends and family instant millionaires..plus help out everyone I know financially. ...but NOT go public...I'd only have those I know and trust in on it.

I'd hire out one of the hotels in Peterborough and arrange transport for all the lovely people I've met there over the years to get there...and give them a Peterborough meet they'd never forget...no expense spared. No doubt we'd all end up down the kebab house at the end as usual lololol..but it'd be all on me. We'd take a vote on where we'd like the next meet to be (anywhere the majority want basically) and it would carry on from there whenever we all feel like a break.
.
I'd buy a house with lots of land and outbuildings..rescue all types of animals.... go on a course to professionally dog groom so that I can look after the rescued dogs myself...open a livery stable as well as having a donkey sanctuary on the grounds.

I'm past the stage where anything material particularly bothers me. I've trained myself to be content as long as I can pay my bills and I'm quite happy in that mindset.

First and foremost I'd love watching my friends and family enjoying luxuries and experiencing a more relaxed existence as a result of my good fortune.

I wouldn't go public. If I won many millions I think I would have the odd thousands just for me and admit to those locally but put the millions into investment. The interest would be phenomenal and keep on coming.

That way I could be giving a bit away as I saw fit.

the trouble with giving away to friend and family is tax, half would go in tax, so you would have to be very wise how you did give your cash away.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 17 Oct 2011 09:14

I'd have enough money to hire a very efficient accountant to sort all that out for me Monty lololololol x

I'd open a luxury old folks home,,,,,,just for GR wrinklies. :-D :-D :-D.

Few GR people who so deserve more than life is throwing at them now.

Share a sum between family and friends, not to make them wealthy but ease a cash injected life.

Then give it all away to independant animal trusts.

Sharron

Sharron Report 17 Oct 2011 11:47

I already have a few bank accounts to shuffle the housekeeping around.

I might put a lump sum in some of those and give my really close friends a cash card.

The interest on a million would be more than enough to live on comfortably.

Laughed when I saw get a good accountant - have one already - my g.son just ready for final exams!!! Have saved money already - not that I will need to.

I forgot the Salvation Army - we support them as they care for all.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 17 Oct 2011 12:27

Sharron the interest on a million nowadays probably wouldn't be enough to live on lol x

I would spoil myself rotten with some of it, but nothing would make me happier than giving most of it away to friends, family and deserving causes.

Money causes a lot of problems but it can do wonders if used in the right ways. :-)
