Had hopes for Antonio Banderas but I´ve never seen him in Menorca unfortunately.

Marion - as one wife to another - have you ever considered giving him a Mickey Finn, tying him to the bed and going out for an evening with George Clooney or similar????? No one would blame you dear.

Personally. given the choice i would rather stay in & watch Barcelona play a match..........& that comes a pretty close 2nd in the list of things I´d rather not do.

Personnally I think Wisechild is winning so far!

when my hubby worked away they usually put him in 4* hotels
but when he was sent to Eassinton Hull
due to the lack of a hotel he was put in a caravan park
there was nothing there except the caravan park and the stoney beach
i went down to stay for a week
it was the worst place ever even the pizza shop was 7 miles away
the high light of my week was scrubbing the caravan out
as there was nothing else to do even polished the ceiling
you even had to get up before 8 am every morning
if you wanted to grab a newspaper from the caravan park shop
as they only got about 3 papers delivered
and if they sold out
you had to walk 3 miles in to the village for a paper
another high light was walking round the grave yard
looking at grave stones
now i dont mind that if i am looking for an old family member
but none of my lot came from Hull so was right boring
THANK GOD his days of working away are now a thing of the past

20 odd years ago when the children were little and we were on holiday on Guernsey, my OH decided it would be fun to walk over to Lihou Island which is a very small island separated from the main Guernsey coastline at high tide but accessible by walking across a causeway at low tide. I hate walking (but OH loves it) but the kids wanted to go so off we trooped.

When we got there I discovered a dolls house museum and shop etc and I was so taken by this that a new hobby was born. I now have a collection of dolls houses, miniatures, room boxes, etc, etc. and attend every dolls house fair I can.

He wanted to walk and explore on that holiday (as he does on all holidays) but I think he now regrets the suggestion he made that day . . .

Mine had some preconcieved ideas about women when we first met and what they liked to do.

I introduced him ti my girly pastimes very quickly. Like the first Sunday we went to the scrapyard and he was horrified that they knew me by name in not just one but two of them.

He had grown up being dragged around shops and is still waitng for his next session.It won't be with me.

He is the only person I know who can be bored in a library.

I dumped mine on the way out! :-D

Actually, my old man and I both have different interests, but we muddle along together very amiably, without being in eachother's pockets. It makes me happy when he's happy doing what he enjoys and vice versa.

I thought I was in the minority until Sheila 'spoke'. :-) I love aircraft, steam trains, old cars, even power stations. Football, cricket, no but wouldn't get taken there and my OH also doesn't do surprises, half our fun is preparing where we want to go. We share the same interests more or less, I can tolerate golf because I had a go at playine. maybe I get bored when he starts on mobile phones (he buys fixes and sells them on) but we are both into photography so anywhere that gives opportunity for photos is OK by me. (Oh, he has never fished, think I'd read though if I had to go).

. . . and I love a bit of the old Hokey Cokey :-D

Power stations, steam trains, aircraft, bring 'em on! I even went to a footie match when we stayed in London a couple of years ago (West Ham) and enjoyed it despite being very unsure!

Our interests are pretty similar, and he doesn't 'do' surprises (neither do I) so disappointment is unlikely.

Things that bore me - parties, big social events, weddings, night clubs and shopping (more than 2 hours worth) :-D

Anywhere where there is a large display of weapons or armour - bronze age, medieval or more modern.

Mind you, he'd probably enjoy Dungeness Power station where he'd give the guide a run for his/her money.
