We seem to exist on a diet of Flog it, and last of the summer wine and all old detective series. Are we getting old, or have the producers forgotten there are people with a goo attention span out here? Have seen one or two good nature programmes, but most other things dont do it for us. Rather read a good book and let OH sleep.

Vera
The show takes place in 1973 and revels in all the talk and behavior that is now politically incorrect and of course Gene is a bit of rough ;-)he did make some outrageous quotes..........he was awful...but we liked him
:-D

Teresa you sissy! :-D

Cooper

Cooper Report 4 Oct 2011 16:57

Vera, you would love Gene if you saw him,
just a little google might change your mind :-D

If you ever watch Life on Mars or Ashes to Ashes make sure you have a handy pillow to hide behind, it was a bit scarey at times

Yuk. That is definitely not my German Officer. I will wipe that from my mind and keep the fantasy going. No sigh emocion.

Another oneliner from my Geney ...........to Alex.......what are you a vicars wife... ( coz she had put on her seat belt )

Vera he was the most sexest male chauvinist pig, he had no respect for women or thought women belonged in the home and he would refer too as tarts or toms, he thought any bloke who drank wine was a fairy...his idea of a romantic night out was for a steak at the berni inn and a quick fumble in the back of his car..............and I loved him dearly <3

Your right. I click and click and in the end watch sky news. I do love Phil Glenister. Will try and forget the gin thing. I think that's all made up. Loved him in that series as a German officer on Jersey. Still remember the look on the 'lady's' face when he turned down her offer of favours to free her son.

I don't know who this Gene person is.

Cooper

Cooper Report 4 Oct 2011 14:19

Hayley and Mau we should have a thread dedicated to the mighty Gene and his one liners :-D

Gene in answer to Sam Tylers question about his whereabouts when he finds himself first on the other side:

"Gene Hunt your DCI its 1973, almost dinner time, Im having 'oops"

Sam "i wanna go home"
Gene "Dont be such a Jessie, you can go home later"

To Alex Drake
" We're a team, Bodie and Doyle. Im the one in the SAS and your the one with the Girls hair"

Happy days :-D :-D :-D

Teresa :-)

I detest watching 5-10 minutes of program and then being subjected to around 8 minutes of advertising...........PLUS the sometimes repetitive drivel that makes up the programs logo!

and as for the socalled Rude Utube

can some one prove that they are not staged?
and as for alex kanes 3 minute intro to a 20 second fuzzy shaky clip...........

rubbish!!
