Some of you know that my daughter had a devastating stroke aged 29 just 3 weeks after she gave birth to her first child.

Through the intervention of her medical professionals and with help from the Stroke Association she has made a remarkable recovery.

She wanted to thank the Association and gave her time as a helper in the speech therapy sessions as she is Welsh first language and some of the older victims were more comfortable speaking Welsh. She loved doing this and wanted to do more.

She is running the Cardiff Half Marathon in the Autumn and asking for sponsors. I am not sure that I can post her Just Giving page on GR so if anyone would like to sponsor her (no amount too small) :-) perhaps you could pm me for the URL.

We are sooooooo proud of her and the determination she showed after the devastation of suffering a stroke after which she didn't even know she had a baby.

Please, if any GR friends would like to show their support all our family would be very grateful.

Thank you

Sue x
