So Murdoch has apologised in person to the Dowler family.

The written apology really means nothing, but that goes a little way toward reparation, it takes a big person to apologise, especially one as ruthless as Murdoch, even if he is only doing it because it's all become so public.

Dermot, I don't think Brooks will be starting a new job just yet, not until this has all died down, then I think she'll just end up in charge of a celeb magazine of some sort, I really don't think it will be in newspapers again.

No doubt she procured a 'Golden Goodbye' for herself.

I cannot wait to see which new job she starts on Monday!

Nice to have the luxury of resigning - unlike the real work force who simply lost their jobs :-(
